Accessibility Statement for Orbit Homes
This is an accessibility statement from Orbit Group. We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities across all our websites, including Orbit Homes. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Measures to support accessibility

Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Orbit Homes is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
The Orbit Homes website is compatible with all major web browsers and operating systems. We will be conducting an internal audit of all our websites to understand their compatibility with all available browser versions and operating systems.

Accessibility limitations
After thorough evaluation of the Orbit Homes website, we have identified a number of accessibility issues that we are working to address:
- Provide a way for users to skip repeated blocks of content
- All content is accessible with the keyboard interface
- Content, structure and relationships can be programmatically determined, or are available in text
- Every link’s purpose is clear from its text or context, unless ambiguous for users in general (Screen Reader Text).
- Provide text alternatives for non-text content that serves the same purpose.
- Provide captions for videos with audio.
- Provide an alternative to video-only and audio-only content
- Keyboard focus is visible when used.
- Identify and describe input errors for users.
- Code passes W3C validation with no major errors.
- No images of text unless essential (i.e. Logotypes).
- Each input field collecting information must be informative to the user (The purpose of input fields must be programmatically determinable.)
- Offer at least two ways to find pages on your website
- Contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for all text, except Large text at ratio 3:1 (large is greater than 14pt bold or 18 point)
- The contrast between user interface components, graphics and adjacent colours is at least 3:1
