Community carers climb onto property ladder with Shared Ownership at Beuley View

Community carers, Britney and Amy, saw Shared Ownership as a great way to get onto the property ladder after years of saving and are now enjoying their brand-new home at Beuley View.

Given their busy working hours as carers in the community, the couple decided that purchasing a new-build home which avoided the need for any time-consuming renovations was the best option for them.

After visiting Beuley View, a partnership development between Orbit Homes and Vistry at Peters Village in Wouldham, Amy and Britney set their sights on a three-bedroom ‘Cherry’ design that they immediately ‘fell in love with’ as it offered them some much-needed space.

“Shared Ownership is a great way to get onto the property ladder. We found that we would have needed to save for much longer if we wanted to go down the route of a full mortgage and it just wouldn’t have been manageable. Shared Ownership was a much more affordable option for us and suited us well as we can also staircase so eventually we will own 100% of our home.

“Shared Ownership is a good start for first-time buyers like myself and Amy and it can benefit you in the long run as you’ll be on the property ladder. We’d definitely recommend anyone looking to purchase their first home in an affordable way to look into it.”

The couple ‘love it all’ when it comes to their new home at Beuley View and are delighted that family and friends are fans too: “Our family and friends think our first house is perfect and they can’t wait to see us make a home of it. We just love it all. It’s a lovely quiet area and everybody we have met seems friendly.”

"Buying a new home can be stressful at times but with the help of Jemmah from Orbit Homes it was a breeze. Her support and guidance have been a tremendous help throughout and we wouldn’t have been able to do this without her.”

“The support we’ve received has been amazing, we’ve been able to ask anything during the process and Orbit Homes have kept us updated, and have been so kind, efficient and caring throughout.”

Brian Nearney, Regional Managing Director at Orbit Homes, said: “It’s fantastic that Britney and Amy trusted Orbit Homes when purchasing their first new home and everyone from the team wishes them well.”

We are set to deliver a total of 56 affordable homes as part of Beuley View, including a mix of two-bedroom apartments and coach houses, along with two and three bedroom houses.
