Councillors tour Hastings developments where Orbit Homes will deliver over 240 affordable homes

We recently welcomed Councillors and council officers from Hastings Borough Council’s cross-party Housing Taskforce to take a tour of three of our new affordable home developments in the area.

The team toured Levett View and Porters Grove in St-Leonards-on-Sea, as well as Frederick Gardens in Hastings, where together, Orbit Homes will deliver a total of 248 affordable homes.

Once complete, Levett View will offer 140 new affordable homes, half will be available through Shared Ownership, whilst Porters Grove, which is being developed in partnership with Bellway, will offer a total of 52 affordable homes, including a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses and one and two-bedroom apartments. Frederick Gardens will comprise a further 56 affordable homes.

Homes at each development have been designed to meet national space standards and will be energy efficient, which can help to reduce energy consumption and potentially lower utility bills for residents. 

Cllr Glenn Haffenden, deputy leader and lead councillor for housing and community wellbeing, said: “It was fantastic to see the progress on all sites and also the commitment that Orbit Homes is making to the town and helping us to meet our housing challenges.”
