‘Everybody loves it’ – Couple enjoying life at The Hedgerows as Orbit Homes seals completion of 224 new homes in Hellingly, East Sussex

Orbit Homes has welcomed its final customers to their new homes at The Hedgerows, a new community of 224 homes in Hellingly.

This includes Sarah and Eric, who are overjoyed by the fact that ‘everybody loves it’ when describing their new four-bedroom home.

224 homes were built as part of the development of two, three, four and five bedroom homes at The Hedgerows, which comprise a mix of tenures to support the local housing need, including affordable rent, shared ownership and market sale.

For Sarah and Eric, family and friends never expected them to leave their last home, but everyone whose visited their new house can see exactly why they made the decision, as Sarah adds: “Everybody loves it. Family and friends were very surprised when we said we’d moved, but everybody who has come here can see why we did it. Everybody thinks it’s lovely.”

Space was the primary reason Sarah and Eric decided to move, and they love what they’ve found at the Hedgerows: “The space and the layout of the house is really nice, and we love the back garden too.”

The couple are grateful for the support they’ve received from the Orbit Homes team throughout the process, from reservation to moving in, as Sarah comments: “Any help we’ve needed has been handled quickly.”

She went on to recount one particular moment, adding: “After our removal company had gone, I realised we’d forgotten something heavy from the garage to take into the house. I was struggling with this and one of the team on site noticed and came over and helped. That’s been the case all the way through, the Orbit Homes staff have helped us whenever we’ve needed it.”
