Foodbank donation helps struggling families in Norwich

We have donated supplies to a local foodbank, to help struggling families in Norwich.  Over 300 essential items were provided by Orbit Homes employees, which were donated to the Trussell Trust’s Norwich Foodbank Warehouse.

The Trussell Trust is a nationwide network of foodbanks, which provide emergency food and support to people in poverty or crisis.  The supplies were delivered to the Norwich Foodbank Warehouse, which organises donations into parcels, ready to deliver to 11 foodbank centres in Norwich and the surrounding areas.

Donations to the foodbank included essential food and non-food items, such as toiletries, household items, and baby supplies.

Helen Moore, Group Director of Orbit Homes, said: “It is really important to the Orbit Homes team that we support the communities where we work, so when we arranged our Regional Roadshows this year, we asked each of our teams to bring a contribution to donate to local foodbanks. We recognise this is only a small contribution, but hopefully it will have a positive impact on those receiving the donations, especially with the current cost-of-living crisis.”
