Hungry Hearts For The Homeless partners with Orbit Homes to ensure more people in Maidstone can enjoy a hot meal this Christmas
We are helping to provide a hot meal this Christmas season to anyone struggling to feed themselves, after lending our support to Maidstone soup kitchen, Hungry Hearts For The Homeless.
Orbit Homes colleagues in the South came together to collect food, drinks, toiletries and winter clothing for Hungry Hearts For The Homeless, with the housebuilder also donating £500 to support them in providing hot meals, tea and essentials for those who need it most, especially over the festive season. Landmark, a groundworks contractor for Orbit Homes, also made a £1000 donation to the soup kitchen.
Hungry Hearts For The Homeless hold soup kitchens at College Road car park every Monday and Wednesday evening, supporting the homeless and anyone struggling to feed themselves and their families.
Brian Nearney, Regional Managing Director at Orbit Homes, commented: “At Orbit Homes we’re committed to making a positive impact in our local communities and our colleagues recognise how important Hungry Hearts For The Homeless is to the area. We hope that our donations help to support those in need around Maidstone with food, warmth and care over the festive period.”
Andy Pike, Founder of Hungry Hearts For The Homeless, added: “Our mission is to ensure that everyone who needs a hot meal can access one in a safe and friendly environment, no matter their circumstances. We are grateful to Orbit Homes and Landmark for their donations which will help support those in need this Christmas.”
The Maidstone soup kitchen is supported by a merry band of volunteers including Chloe, who together help make it all happen.
