Kent children’s hospice receive egg-cellent Easter donation from Orbit Homes

Orbit Homes has donated a collection of Easter treats for the Demelza Kent hospice in Sittingbourne for them to share with the children and young people that they support.

Colleagues at the affordable housebuilder’s regional office in the South donated an abundance of Easter eggs, cakes, biscuits and sweets for the charity to distribute.

Demelza Kent provides specialist one-to-one care and access to life-enhancing facilities for babies, children and young people up to the age of 18.

Brian Nearney, Regional Managing Director for Orbit Homes in the South and Midlands, commented: “At Orbit Homes we understand how important the care that Demelza offers to young people in our communities is, so we wanted to show our appreciation by offering a small gesture that will hopefully help to spread a little bit of Easter joy to the children, young people, and their families that the hospice supports.”

Loren Regan, Regional Fundraiser at Demelza Kent, said: “We support families wherever is best for them: in our hospice or in their homes, online, at school and in local communities. When they need us most, we’ll be there; to reassure, to guide and to care. By their side when they feel isolated, helping to create joy in family life during challenging times and making precious memories, such as Easter. We’d like to thank Orbit Homes for their kind gesture.”
