David and Shimona were looking to upsize to a larger home for their family but didn’t expect to find one when they just went out for a walk one day.
But this is exactly what happened when their walk took them past Micklewell Park in Daventry. David recalls: “Micklewell Park just had a nice countryside feel to it, the first thing that stands out is the sound of the birds.”
The development was only two miles away from where they were living at the time, but a new build home appealed to them as everything is brand new, with little maintenance required. “We also really loved the idea that the memories from a new house would be ours.”
It didn’t take long for the couple to find their ideal plot: “When we saw The Barberry and the communal areas around it and the size of the driveway, we were sold! We could imagine our children playing safely out the front!”
Our high all-inclusive specification was an unexpected bonus and comparing it to new homes offered by other housebuilders David told us: “The layout is far better, with a larger selection of integrated kitchen appliances. And the Amtico flooring and carpets throughout are far more than we had been offered before.”
With a house to sell, they chose our Move Easy option which made the process a lot smoother, and they were guided along the way by our friendly Sales Consultants: “Emily and Jayne were amazing with us, I think we visited every week for various reasons and they were so helpful.”
They were the last family to move into their street and remember being welcomed by everyone. “Micklewell Park has a strong sense of community, with neighbours bringing in bins for each other and offering support.”
The family moved in earlier this year but their love for their new home has continued: “Honestly, when we are at home in the evening there’s always a conversation that starts with: “I am just so happy in this house!”.”
