Mr & Mrs Knott's perfect family home at Kings Oak Park, Headcorn
When you have a young daughter who just wants to spend time outdoors, making the move to the countryside is the final tick in the box if you find a new home in a semi-rural location.
Simon & Charlotte were living in a 2 bedroom flat in a busy location in Bromley, an area in which they both grew up in, but they had a long-held dream of moving out to a village location. When Charlotte was pregnant with their second child, another little girl, they decided the time had come to make the move and started looking on-line at what was available in the right type of location for them.
They found Kings Oak Park, a joint venture partnership development by Westerhill Homes and Orbit Homes and it was instantly appealing. Their appointment with Sales Executive Gloria set them on the path to buying their first new home. She said she had just the right home for them, when they mentioned a large garden was a must for their daughter to be able to play safely outside.
The Hudson house type they saw was a perfect family home, and third bedroom gave Simon, a Computer Programmer who regularly works from home, the option to use it as a spare room/home office. They liked the spacious open plan Living/Dining Room and the plot they chose also had the large garden they wanted.
Simon said "We love our new home, it’s perfect for our young family. The school is just around the corner and our oldest daughter, almost 4 years old, is looking forward to starting next year. She loves the garden, and that we can walk to the nearby play area, plus we have the countryside virtually on our doorstep. Within a couple of minutes, we can be exploring and collecting feathers, stones, twigs, and leaves to add to our growing collection! We feel very well looked after, starting with Gloria who helped us so much with the moving process through to the Customer Services team as they are always so quick to help us if we need them, we cannot fault anything. We love living in Headcorn, it’s a great place for a young family, it’s well maintained by the Parish Council with lovely flowers and open spaces, and there are a great range of shops just a short walk from our front door. Charlotte commutes into London every day, so being within walking distance of the station was a big plus for us too. We definitely made the right decision to move to Kings Oak Park."
