Natasha starts a new chapter in her life with Shared Ownership at Orbit Homes at Western Gate

Meet Natasha, who is now the proud owner of her new home thanks to a work colleague that recommended the Shared Ownership scheme to her.

Following a relationship breakdown, Natasha was eager to find a new home for herself and her daughter and a new build home appealed to her: “For peace of mind. As a single mother I needed somewhere that would be low maintenance and with the guarantee of a warranty”.

She was pleased to find new Shared Ownership homes for sale at Orbit Homes at Western Gate on the outskirts of Harpole, near Northampton, as the location was perfect and would enable her to keep her daughter in her school.

Having viewed homes offered by other housebuilders which had open plan layouts, Natasha preferred the more traditional layout of a separate kitchen and dining/living area, so opted for our 2-bed Ashby. “It was very well presented and the perfect size, with some of the rooms being bigger than I expected. And the appliances provided by Orbit Homes, like the induction hob are better quality”.

Shared Ownership is a more affordable way to buy a new home, and Natasha was able to use the equity from the sale of her previous home to buy a share in her new home. “Shared Ownership gave me the security of being a homeowner again”.

Natasha found the home buying process a lot easier than buying on the open market: “Everything has been fairly easy and not as stressful as I thought it would be”.

 “The sales team kept me well informed on the progression of my new home and explained everything to me. They also sent me photos of my home as it was being built”.
