Orbit Homes Coronavirus Update
Orbit Homes would like to update you about how we are responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19) challenges.
Our number one priority is the safety of customers, colleagues and the communities we create and therefore we continue to monitor the Government’s guidance and act accordingly.
Following the Government’s announcement on 23rd March 2020, our direct build development sites and our sales offices are currently closed.
Customers already purchasing one of our homes
If you are purchasing one of our homes, our Sales Consultants will be in touch with you shortly. They are also available on the usual development telephone number (available on our website). Please rest assured that we will work with you to achieve your legal completion and occupation as soon as circumstances allow.
Customers looking for a new home
Our Sales Consultants will also be available to discuss your requirements if you are looking for a new home, please visit our homepage for details of all of our developments and to book a telephone or virtual appointment. Our opening hours for each development can be found on the website.
Customer services
With immediate effect, our Customer Services team have made the difficult decision to only attend to major emergency items during this time. In the event of an electrical or plumbing emergency, you will need to ensure access is provided by someone not in self-isolation, and the area to be investigated/rectified must be appropriately cleaned. Please be assure that we take your concerns seriously and that once it is safe to do so, we will be undertaking normal warranty work in line with our commitment to all customers.
Keeping you updated
Our website will be regularly updated with any changes and to inform you when we are able to re-open. You can also follow us on Facebook or Instagram for updates.
We thank you for your support and look forward to welcoming you to one of our developments soon.
How we're helping the community
Our social and environmental responsibility programme, and our excellent relationships with local partners, means that we have been able to support the community response effort directly. We have contributed almost £50,000 to support foodbank efforts to supply vulnerable and low-income households, alongside providing grants for local charities to improve their ICT infrastructure so that they can continue to operate.
Orbit remains in a strong financial position and has a healthy balance sheet. We also have good working relationships with our long-term investor partners.
Our attention is firmly on a phased re-mobilisation plan. Our focus on customer safety, protecting employees and business resilience will remain as the Government’s exit strategy becomes clear.
