Orbit Homes recognised as a 5-star Housebuilder by HBF
Orbit Homes, part of Orbit Group, is celebrating after being awarded the coveted 5* Housebuilder accolade by the HBF for its customer satisfaction and property quality.
The HBF Star Ratings are awarded following homeowner feedback and collated via HBF’s independent National New Homes Survey of customer satisfaction, to recognise excellence in property quality and customer service.
The 5* rating is the highest possible accolade awarded by the HBF and means over 90% of customer would recommend Orbit Homes to a friend.

“At Orbit Homes, we pride ourselves on offering affordable, well-designed and energy efficient homes, coupled with excellent customer service. “Last year, we became one of the first housing associations to register with the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB), furthering our commitment to ensuring our customers receive an excellent service and high-quality home, and we adhere to the principles of the Code for all of our customers, whatever their tenure.
“We are also particularly proud of our sector-leading house designs which are matched against the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accident’s (RoSPA) Safer by Design framework and our all-inclusive design specification, so we are delighted receive 5* Housebuilder status from the HBF in recognition of our commitment to delivering high quality homes and service to our customers.”
Stewart Baseley, Executive Chairman of the Home Builders Federation (HBF) said:
“Over recent years there has been a huge industry focus on service and quality, and this is the fourth year in a row where over 90% of new home buyers would recommend their builder to a friend. We fully support the CMA’s recommendation for a single mandatory industry consumer code and the provision of access to the new homes ombudsman for all customers that will lead to further increases in quality and service standards across the board. For a company to achieve 5-star levels of satisfaction is a significant achievement and shows the commitment from everyone within the organisation to the customer.”
In addition, Orbit Homes has also recently received the prestigious 2024 Outstanding Achievement Award for Customer Satisfaction in the housebuilding industry from In-house Research, alongside maintaining its Gold Customer Satisfaction Award. These independent awards are based on feedback from customers six weeks after they have moved into their new home, with 98.4% of customers agreeing they would recommend Orbit Homes to a friend.
