Orbit Homes recognised as five-star housebuilder for second year running
We are proud to have been awarded the coveted 5* Housebuilder accolade by the HBF for the second year running in recognition of its customer satisfaction and property quality.
The HBF Star Ratings are awarded every year following homeowner feedback gathered through the HBF’s independent National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey and recognise excellence in property quality and customer satisfaction.
The 5* rating is the highest possible accolade awarded by the HBF and is only granted to housebuilders who are recommended to a friend by 90% or more of their customers. This year’s survey found that over 96% of Orbit Homes customers would recommend Orbit Homes to a friend.
Phil Andrew, Orbit Group Chief Executive, commented: “At Orbit, we’re committed to delivering good quality, energy efficient and safe affordable homes for all our customers. Our new homes are meticulously designed, placing the customer at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud of the exceptional customer service that we offer.
“We are delighted to be recognised as a 5* housebuilder by the HBF. Our team work to ensure that our developments are sustainable and adopt a tenure-blind approach, so that all our customers feel that they have a great place to call home.”
Neil Jefferson, Chief Executive of the Home Builders Federation, said: “This year’s survey results highlight the industry’s absolute commitment to delivering high levels of customer service, and compare favourably to satisfaction levels seen in any other sectors or products.
“Customers are the ultimate judges of performance and so receiving such high scores based on their feedback alone is a significant achievement. These results are a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire home-building workforce, from on-site teams to the boardroom.”
All direct-build homes from Orbit Homes offer an all-inclusive specification, meet the National Space Standards and are also matched against the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents’ (RoSPA) Safer by Design Framework and meet its Gold Standard, limiting the most common hazards found in a home. We were also recently awarded the 2025 Outstanding Achievement Award for Customer Satisfaction in the housebuilding industry from In-house Research and has maintained In-house Research’s Gold Award for customer satisfaction, meaning that Orbit Homes has achieved an industry leading Net Promoter® Score (NPS) of 70.0 or above and that 90% or more of surveyed customers recommend Orbit Homes to their friends and family.
