Orbit Homes is pleased to present Felix Park, a charming collection of two, three and four-bedroom houses in Soham, Cambridgeshire, which will be available to reserve from January 2022 with the launch of our sales office and two show homes.
Felix Park will feature a wide variety of two, three and four-bedroom houses, which can be bought via market sale, plus two and three-bedroom homes available to purchase through the Shared Ownership scheme. The Government-backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme will also be available on selected market sale properties.
Andy Georgiou, Sales and Marketing Director at Orbit Homes said: “We are delighted to introduce Felix Park in Soham, an attractive development in the beautiful Cambridgeshire
countryside. It is ideally situated for easy access to Ely, Newmarket and Cambridge, whilst Soham itself boasts a range of local amenities for everyday essentials, providing convenience for residents.
“Felix Park has homes available to purchase outright or through the Shared Ownership scheme, so it’s ideal for young couples, growing families and down-sizers alike. We are expecting a lot of interest in this new development, so I would encourage people to get in touch now and register early to avoid disappointment!”
Located between the city of Ely and Newmarket town, Soham is a welcoming and long-established community, offering a variety of local conveniences for day-to-day needs. Residents benefit from a variety of traditional pubs, restaurants, and cafes, as well as a selection of well-known high street supermarkets, a sports centre, three local primary schools and a high school.
Historically occupied by the Romans, people have been settling in around Soham since the Bronze Age. Even greater evidence of the town’s ancient past was discovered at an Orbit Homes specialist archaeological dig, which was carried out before construction of Felix Park began.
Excavation of the area revealed traces of a settlement thought to be from the Bronze Age. The dig uncovered pottery, animal and plant remains, as well we evidence of some Roman ditches. Earlier signs of activity have also been unearthed, going back as far as 2,500 BC.
Because of its location, Felix Park offers commuters a variety of options for transport connections to the rest of the UK and much further afield. The development is close to the A142 providing links to Ely & Newmarket and has easy access to the A11 and A14. The site is also less than 8 miles away from Ely railway station, offering direct trains to Cambridge, Bury St. Edmunds, Peterborough, London Stanstead Airport, Ipswich and London Liverpool Street.
Felix Park is the third development in the Orbit Homes East region to include a brand-new all-inclusive specification, boasting integrated appliances and flooring throughout plus a landscaped front and turfed rear garden.
All properties have been designed with energy-efficiency in mind, including infrastructure for electric car charging, helping to reduce customer energy bills and lessen the environmental impact. Residences are attractively designed, thoroughly modern and built to an excellent standard.
