Taking the stress out of relocating with Orbit Homes at Priors Hall Park
Relocating and buying a new home can be daunting, but Oliver found the process easy with Orbit Homes when he decided to make the move from Dorset to the Midlands.
He had heard about the Shared Ownership scheme, which allows you to buy a share of a new home and then pay a subsidised rent on the remaining share, and knew that this was the right move: “The deposit I needed for Shared Ownership was less than if I were buying outright”.
He decided to buy a new home at Orbit Homes at Priors Hall Park in Corby, as he liked the area and its quiet location, and chose The Weldon, a 3-bedroom house. Our high specification also impressed him, especially the integrated kitchen appliances: “The induction hob is quite posh!”
“I also like the colour scheme in the kitchen and bathroom and the general layout of my new home, and my family and friends agree, they think it’s really homely”.
During the sales process, he was supported by our Sales Consultant Debbie who answered his questions and kept him updated on the progress of his purchase: “She was responsive and very helpful throughout”.
“Debbie gave me a welcome pack when I moved in and a new home demonstration, which helped me to understand how all the appliances and heating worked”.
Although his new home came equipped with kitchen appliances and carpets, he has this advice for any would-be homeowners: “Make sure you put aside some money for blinds and curtains!”
Oliver would recommend Shared Ownership to others who are looking to get onto the property ladder and shares with us his thoughts on the benefits of the scheme: “A lower deposit is needed, it’s easier to get a mortgage, and you have the option to buy more shares in the future and own your home outright”.
We’re pleased that Oliver decided to make his move to the Midlands with Orbit Homes and wish him and Dimitri the cat many happy years at Priors Hall Park.
