Young family continue their Orbit Homes journey with new home at Liberty Park

Having just welcomed a baby into the family, Megan-Louise and Kieran chose another brand new home from Orbit Homes when they decided to move to a bigger house this year with their one-year-old son and dog Toby.

Megan-Louise knew just how ‘lovely’ Rackheath was having grown up in the area and Orbit Homes’ Liberty Park presented her with the chance she’s been waiting for to move back into the village.

The couple had been living in another Orbit Homes property for several years, their first home together, but sought a bigger house for their growing family, as Megan-Louise adds:

“We actually lived in another Orbit Homes Shared Ownership property and we loved living there, it was our first home together. We decided to move as we wanted a bigger house after recently having our son, and we just wanted a little extra space for all these toys!”

Just as Shared Ownership helped Megan-Louise and Kieran take their first step onto the property ladder five years ago, the part-buy and part-rent scheme once again offered them the pathway to owning a home more affordably:

“We wanted to get a bigger house but knew we couldn’t afford purchasing a home outright and as we were already in a Shared Ownership property we knew all about it. We had made a good amount of money on the percentage we owned of our old home and this enabled us to put a good deposit down at Liberty Park.”

“Shared Ownership is an amazing opportunity to own your own home more affordably, it’s cheaper than purchasing outright and helps get you on the housing ladder”, adds Megan-Louise.

Friends and family ‘absolutely love’ the couple’s new three-bedroom home, and it’s even left Megan-Louise’s mum a little jealous:

“The house speaks for itself – it's beautiful. It's such a spacious three bedroom which is hard to find nowadays. Each bedroom is such a good size and the kitchen is so big and stunning!

“My family absolutely love the house, my mum's even a little jealous! She is trying to persuade my dad into a new build from Orbit Homes and my friends absolutely love it too.”

The all-inclusive specification offered by Orbit Homes, which includes so many essential finishes as standard, was another key factor in the couple’s decision to choose another brand new home from Orbit Homes:

“I absolutely love a brand new home, no one has touched it or used it. It’s like a blank canvas to play with and make your own. With Orbit Homes we also got all new carpets and flooring and new unused appliances such as a cooker and an integrated fridge freezer.”

The couple are ‘forever grateful’ to the Orbit Homes team, and especially Pearl, for the help they’ve received in making the moving process so smooth:

“We chose Orbit Homes again because honestly, we couldn’t fault them. They have been truly fantastic from start to finish both times we’ve purchased a new home.

“The buying process was super easy and straightforward. The staff at the sales office were amazing, especially Pearl, she truly went above and beyond and we will forever be grateful. Orbit Homes were amazing in getting our sale through as quickly as possible and constantly kept us updated, checking in to see if we needed anything and to answer our questions.

“We absolutely love our new home, it's truly amazing. Every member of staff from the builders to the sale office staff have been nothing but fantastic!”

One final home remains at Liberty Park, The Swift, a two-bed home available for £114,000 for a 40% share. For more information about the home and living at Liberty Park, visit: www.orbithomes.org.uk/liberty-park
