Welcome to Eco Buddies
Eco Buddies is our second educational initiative aimed at children aged 7 to 11 in KS2 (Key Stage 2), following the launch of Building Buddies in 2022.
Under the initiative, schools local to our Orbit Homes Developments, are invited to choose one of our new Eco Buddies sessions, designed to outline what Orbit Homes are doing to provide sustainable developments and enhance pupils's knowledge of biodiversity, why it's important, and what they can do to promote it.
Schools can choose from working with us to build eco-friendly features such as bug hotels, bird boxes or bird hides. Activities will use recycled waste from our building sites where possible and we encourage schools and children to reuse their own materials in a fun, creative, and positive way.
If you're interested in booking an Eco Buddies session at your school, please contact us below to sign up. All sessions are free of charge and we can work with you to tailor an activity that suits your school.

The fun doesn't stop there, we have also developed a series of supporting worksheets and activities in line with the national curriculum which can be used at home and in school, including a Sustainability Scramble boardgame, wildlife spotter sheets, how to write a news report on ‘mini beasts’ and much more.
